Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound
Peripheral vascular ultrasound is a test used to evaluate the health of blood vessels. Peripheral vascular ultrasounds are non-invasive examinations of arteries and veins using ultrasound or Doppler. Tests include carotid duplex, venous duplex, physiologic arterial testing (PVR) and arterial Doppler. Testing can take anywhere between 45-60 minutes. No special preparation is required prior to testing.
