A staggering 8.3 percent of the United States population, or 25.8 million people, has diabetes, according to the American Diabetes Association. Of those, more than 7 million people are living with undiagnosed diabetes. Even more alarming, 79 million people have blood glucose levels that are high enough to be considered “prediabetic.”
It is time for Americans to take a stand for their health and learn how to prevent diabetes or live a fit and active life with the disease.
